FG085 button(?) issue

I just put together an FG085 function generator. When I turn it on, I'm (usually) unable to change anything. Occasionally I can change the wave type, but I usually cannot. I've read that this could be a problem with the installation of buttons. I checked them all, and they all seem to be correct. They don't seem to be shorted when not pressed, and when I press them, the correct two terminals are shorted.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did the [ADJ] dial work?

Yes, the dial works to change the frequency.

Please remove the front panel and test again. Some buttons may not be able to bounce back freely due to friction.
