Firmware revisisions

Post by tannenba »

Question: Just checking back and noticed: My FG085 (paneled version) firmware is: 48P-113-8501-053 and the 168P-113-8501-135. I can't find what the update to 135 was, since the highest on the website is 132. Can you tell me what changed?

The version -135 is for PCB 109-08500-00P which contains change in the clock circuit to make the oscillator more reliable. It is identical to version -132 in performance. But version -135 can not run on the old board (109-08500-00G).

My unit has board 109-08500-00P and had 113-8501-135 firmware installed. When it lost the square wave, I tried to re-install firmwares, U6 ok with 113-8501-53, but since I couldn't find a copy of
113-8501-135, I tried 113-8501-132 in U5, and I think I bricked it. Doesn't boot only has a line of boxes. Is there a copy of 113-8501-135 somewhere I could get? BTW, my U5 is an ATmega168PA, and my U6 is an ATmega48PA.

I would like to fix this unit, since I use it quite a bit. For what I do, it tops the cheapies and I don't need a real expensive one. Plus this unit is a great little size that stores easily.

Thank you for your help.
