DSO Shell, slight Power Supply leakage into Meter when the probes are not connected to anything. Is this normal?
If I use a 9V battery , .043 volts with no frequency is displayed on the scope.
If I use a 9V AC-DC adapter , 500mv to 900mv and 50 to 60HZ is displayed.
Same results with the probes disconnected from the scope.
At 47 years old, I haven't touched a scope since 10th Grade, so any and all input is appreciated.

500mV is a pretty big signal. Can you test again by setting the couple switch to GND position?

The Voltage seems to have increased..But here's some Pics with the scope set to GND.... Thanks again. If I am doing something wrong , please advise as well.

The voltages displayed are actually false readings caused background noises and the chosen sensitivity scale. You will see the numbers decrease if you change the sensitivity to higher setting.

OK..So this is normal then??
I consider myself to be QUITE new to the world of Oscilloscopes(or as my kids say, O'SillyScope) since I haven't touched one in about 30 years.. Back then, just a big ole bench-top one with a green screen and a billion dials..
Anyways, thank you for taking the time to reply...Know ya'll are busy creating, building, testing and maybe occasionally blowing up new stuff.
One More Quick Question if I could please? Would Jyetechs 1X\10X probe work on this? If so, I'll be ordering a few next week along with another DIY Shell. Best way to make a 1 channel scope into a 2 channel model is to buy another one..
Thanks again...

OK...Good deal..I made the same adjustments...The bottom right is 1.76 on mine , 1.68 on yours.. Vmax is .06 on mine...
So all appears good I guess...
Hey..Quick question. Top right, where it lists the trigger status and currently says waiting..."Waiting" is constantly flickering on mine.. It doesn't effect anything. Was just curious if yours does the same thing..
Thanks Jan... Happy Friday to ya..

@ IseetwoI2Cs: yes the standard 1x/10X probe can be used with DSO Shell.
