boot fail

Am constructing a DSO Shell kit. All went well with first boot up
and retest after fitting/soldering encoder board.
Some days later after testing voltages on analogue board, tried to
start unit and display showed "read eeprom fail" each time i have tried to
start. Unit has been powered by a stabilised 9volt supply and all analogue voltages
etc. ok.
No signs of overheating or bad joints etc.
Any ideas ?

Please try upgrading firmware to version 113-15001-113
