There are a few things wat will react differend.
With ENTER the program start again and again and agian....not with a (the) "any key" :D

I have to press first ADJ and then V/DIV to start grab agian.

The ini-file see wat port wat I have use(d) so I don't have given the COM-post if I use the shell (on the same USB-port).
The results are on the website http://www.bucket.gompy.net/dso150

Last one for a while (certainly at least for this weekend :D)

DSO_Shell_grabber_V1.7.4.zip
http://www.robocog.co.uk/electronics/ds ... V1.7.4.zip

This version:
Tested as working under XP SP3 and Windows 10 (I would assume all other flavors in between will work also)

Will detect available com ports and ask you to select which one you want it to use
It will write the settings to a file (comport.ini) so it won't have to bug you again
IF you need to change the com port (or if you made a typo) just delete the comport.ini before opening the app and it will ask again
or open and edit the comport.ini file and save it before opening the program

It will only create a single debug file - it will get overwritten each run of the program
It will wait forever till you hit V/DIV and ADJ buttons on the DSO Shell to start sending the data
It will grab the data and save it to all_data.txt - again it will get overwritten each run of the program
It will create a header.txt file - this shows the settings the scope was set to at the time of capture - it will get overwritten each run

The data from the above grabs gets formatted into a date and timestamped file (eg gnuplot 21-01-2018 16-52-23.txt) and a corresponding gnuplot file (dso150gnuplot 21-01-2018 16-52-23.plt)
These get created every run with a new date and timestamp - so the folder may get busy! (but you can refer back to them later)

It will then attempt to open gnuplot and stay open asking if you want to run it again
If you want to run it again and take another plot , just hit enter
If you want to quit press q and hit enter

Any questions or requests - give me a shout

Regards
Rob

It will wait forever till you hit V/DIV and ADJ buttons on the DSO Shell to start sending the data
You have first press ADJ, hold it and press also V/DIV and release them, the datastream is coming.
Press both buttons together will not work for some reason.

Press any = press ENTER to make the progam ready again, "any key" don't work.

BUT, overall it is a great program :!:  :!:

Lol good catch will edit and recompile later (will keep the same file name and version number for this typo)

ROFL

Updated the file as my keyboard is also missing the 'any key' ;)
http://www.robocog.co.uk/electronics/ds ... V1.7.4.zip

Have had a look at how to program 'listening and waiting for the enter key or esc key' will be
...but it seems not as easy as I had thought

So still needs 2 keystrokes to quit rather than just 1, keyboards are cheap, coding is giving me a headache so it stays for now :D

Save version number, same name and same functionality...just slightly clearer instructions on the screen

OK, test it for many many times and anything works OK :!:
BTW, is the library.zip-file needed or just it was there ?

Not unfortunately, if I look at Windows......thats realy a mess with all thoose files

I have playing around all evening and I can say I can't find any problem with the program.
It caputure all files and store them in the directory, it works great.
Only to press the ADJ and V/DIV knobs at the same time don't start the data capture.
You have first press ADJ (and hold it) and then press V/DIV, this will start the data capture.
If the data capture start, allmost at ones, I can release the knobs.

BTW, I suspected GNUplot must be installed on the computer (I have), it is not in the program ?
