DSO Shell White screen after 110 update.

Hi Everyone.
As there were updates available I spent a couple of hours upgrading the software on My DSO shell and DSO 138 which went fine. While I was at it I thought I would upgrade my other (unbuilt as yet DSO shell mainboard to 110 from 064).
This mainboard I haven't soldered any components to, just a pin header for programming. All went well with the firmware upgrade but when I unjumpered JP1 and JP2 and powered up I now have a blank white screen. I tried again to upgrade again with 110 no luck then tried 064 no luck. Does the mainboad need populating prior to upgrading firmware or is there another problem? Board powered up fine before upgrade! Any Ideas Please. Thanks Mark.

Solved!!! Looking over the lcd connections and the main pcb It appears that when shorting JP1 and JP2 I had somehow unknown to me accidently shorted two of the pins of the micro with solder!! Solder removed with wick boots up great now with firmware 110.
Does anyone know what FFFF means in the top Right half of the display on Boot up?
