When assembling the DSO Shell, the 6 short inner screws with countersunk head are not ideal. Even taking great care, two of them immediately slipped, they did not ¨hold¨ in the plastic support. One of those was for the encoder board, and the resulting play made it unable to use the ¨press¨ function. I replaced those short screws with longer ones with button heads, and their thread starts more square rather than pointed, giving additional grip. See the photo with a cm scale next to the screws. With these screws, the encoder board now sits really solid.
The button heads are more suited for taking pressure along the screw´s thread also. I suggest to replace the current screws with an alternative, with button heads and non-pointed thread. Even if it costs a little cents more it is well worth it, I think.
