Mark on LCD screen?

Greetings,
1) the LCD screen has the number "87" printed directly on the surface (see attached). What is the purpose of this and how do I remove it?

2) there was a piece of tape stuck to the lower-right corner of the screen. I thought it was a pull tab for a protective film over the screen. Apparently not so -- all that happened was the tape lifted, and left a gummy residue on the screen (see attached). How can I safely remove the residue?

your protective cover is still on the lcd .

it should easily lift off , as it is static to the lcd.

pay attention NOT to damage your screen !!

Okay, I got it, thanks. I've had a number of phones and tablets with protective film, but nothing as stubborn/difficult as this one.
