Rotary encoder not working

Post by tkl »

Hi,

I just received my DSO Shell yesterday (with the most recent firmware already installed) and after assembly I've got the following problem: the rotary encoder only lets me turn down the values, so there's no way of changing them from the way they are in the picture.
As I have read, that it might have been attached the wrong way, I unsoldered it again, changed the direction, but still the same effect.

I continued to put the rotary encoder onto a breadboard, connected it without the additional PCB, but still no success. I have also checked all the connection with a multimeter and they seem alright. The encoder itself also seems to work fine, if I look at the values "manually".

Is there anything else I could try?

Best,
Thomas

Please check the resistors R5, R6, R23, and R24 for their proper installation. Also please check the resistance between J2 pins 1 & 2 and GND. If they are good please contact us at jyetech@163.com for replacement of the encoder.
