Replace U5 ICL7660 with ICL7660A to power with 12V?

Post by r0ck »

Hi, is it possible to replace the ICL7600 with ICL7600A? So it runs at more than 10.5V ?

Since my Analog Board doesnt work I consider switching the ICs, after my USB UART arrives , to upgrade the FW. Maybe the FW will fix it.

edit: or even LT1054? as suggested by someone before

ICL7660A can be used. You can also add diodes (e.g. two 1N4XXX diodes) in series to lower the input voltage without changing U5.
