Missing part

Post by Roger »

Hi, I've started building this kit but when soldering in the resistors I found that R7, 300 Ohm is missing and instead I've been supplied with an extra R9 , 91 Ohm. I have measured each resistor before soldering so there's no mistake made on my end. I am sending you a photo of my board with the extra 91 ohm resistor lying next to the installed 91 Ohm resistor. What can I do? How critical is R7, can I use a common resistor value instead without causing any issues?

Okay, forget the above. I've used a 330 Ohm and 3.3k resistors in parallel to replace the missing 300 Ohm resistor and it all seems to be working correctly. This is my second JYE oscilloscope kit and both had quality control related issues.

About 150 kits with this mistake were shipped. Users receive such kit are encouraged to contact JYE Tech for free replacement. Your fix is good. R7 needs to be 300 ohm for correct voltage display.
