No trace

Post by swed »

I can't get the new DSO shell work. I can't get it change between AC, DC and GND. With my Hitachi v222 I can see that the signals changes all the way to the CPU. Also I can't get any readings, same here, I can follow the signal all the way to the CPU but can't get any readings in the trace. Everything else seems to work ok. Some times it start in DC and some time in AC but no readings. The trace exist as a straight line. It can be adjusted up and down.
What to do?

What does the red led indicate?
Either is the trace line at bottom or at top of the display. All voltage messure what they should.
AC select is 3V, DC select 1.5V and gnd is gnd :) But cpu or something does not change the output in display.
Could it be a software bug?

What timebase and trigger mode did you select? Can you post a photo? If timebase was too slow or trigger mode was set to NORM or SING the trace might appear unchanged.

For couple display error please check the soldering of resistor R23 on analog board.

R23 is ok, 0V GND, 3V DC and 1.5V AC.
I have try 0.1 and 3V testsignal with all settings :)
I take 0.5V test signal from my Hitachi and no readings with any settings.
I can see the input signal all they way to cpu. But display shows no signals with any settings.
If acdin is ok, picks even up noice, the fault should be in the logic?

Does not work!

V+ : +7.1
AV+: +5.9
V- : -6.3
AV-: -4.7
V1 : 0
V2 : 0
V3 : 0
V4 : +1.39
V5 : -0.94
V6 : -2.76

Buttons and Encoder normally work.
On the screen - a straight line.
AC, DC and the earth does not change the state of the screen. Voltage at CPLSEL changes when switching the switch.

The bad firmware? Firmware: 113-15001-054

Note:
1) Always displayed AC. Do not react to the switch. SPLSEL - 0V GND, 3V DC and 1.4V AC.
2) There is no signal on the screen. There is a straight line.

ADC - is not working?

Please try performing factory default restore by holding down the center two buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. Then do VPos alignment again.
