1v test signal fails

Post by veepee78 »

hi

calibrated 0.1v succesfully, but when I switch to 1v, signal behaves weirdly. Signal disappears or it's way too high, I'll have to scroll long time to the bottom. It's behaves like it's too sensitive. When I see the bottom, c6 doesn't do anything to it. Though it looks sharp already. Any tips what to check for that?

And thanks for fun kit! :geek:

Try 060 firmware. You have option to auto center trace.

thanks for the tip, didn't notice new firmware earlier.

Tried to install new firmware, I was not able to connect. Tried also to different baud rates but I did not get any response from board. I happen to have another stm chip that I tried to connect and it connected immediately.

So any tips to solve connection problems..? Uart pins are good solder, as are jp1 and jp2. Display stays white when powering on.

Connect RX -> TX , and TX -> RX , GND -> GND

I used PL2303 , USB to Serial, Windows 10 driver, older driver 3.3.3.114

FTDI has some drivers issue with "counterfeited" FTDI chips. Are you sure you have original FTDI chip ?

If you have non original chip and use new FTDI drivers , FTDI chip is usless after that. You have to reflash it.

I'm not sure about the origin, but as I said it worked just fine with another device (storm32) that has stm chip..

Then according to this : http://www.olliw.eu/storm32bgc-wiki/How ... h_firmware

You can't use that adapter to update DSO138

Find another adapter...
