Thank you for doing this. No need to apologise - you were just trying to protect your intellectual property which is perfectly understandable.

I hope you win your battle with the counterfeiters. I have a number of Jyetech products and have enjoyed making/using them along with access to the great support you provide.

Carry on the good work!

I would like to thank you for making this available. I had trouble with my new units firmware failing and I put in the old firmware. I will now update it. I also have one of the older units. Is there any reason not to update it? Can I update the older unit I purchased from your supplier with out any problems? Do I need to change the hardware on the older unit?
Thanks again for listening to all of us complain about not being able to update to the new firmware, with out you just giving up on all of us.
Have a nice weekend.

To work with the -050 firmware the only hardware change is to replace R11 (which was a 1.5K resistor) with a 150 ohm resistor. No other change is required.

First of all thank you very much JYE1 for taking this decision. I am sure you will have returning customers on all of your products. I for one will be buying your FG085 function generator this week..it is being sold here in Montreal Canada by Abra Electronics.

Questions about the new firmware and the noise reduction modification I made to my board. What will be the impact of the noise reduction modification? Should I revert back to the standard connection of my board or will the noise reduction modification still improve the signal noise?

Thanks again.

The hardware mod is still valid for the new firmware even though you might not be able to feel the improvement. It is recommended to keep the mod.

Could you tell me if the 150 ohm resistor R11 is 1/4 or 1/8 watt?
Thanks

It doesn't matter. Factory provided was 1/8W.
