The following sellers are reported selling fake DSO138 kits. The kits they sell are pirate copies of the DSO138 kit without a single change. They copied PCB, firmware, and manual. They do not take any responsibility of the products they sell. It is encouraged that buyers stay away from these sellers.

Unfortunatly, I have a kit from one of the sellers you list and am trying to resolve with seller. I re-checked the pictures on the ebay listing, and they appear to also be copies. Looks like no resolution will happen with seller without ebay stepping in.

Do you have a list of good sellers? I would like to buy a real kit to build/use.

Thanks,
rmac

I bought mine from Banggood, I didn't see them on either list. Is Banggood a legitimate company?

Bandgood is believe selling genuine DSO138 kits. It has sold many kits and we didn't get any complaint about it so far. We didn't put it on the recommended list because we are not its directly supplier.

I have recently purchased a DSO138 from Banggood and based on http://www.jyetech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=511
(no tear drops) it is a fake. Interesting- it has the updated firm ware. At least the reported number is ...-50.
It worked for a few days, now I am trouble shooting no trace on the 3.3V 1k Hz test signal and abnormal -10.69 vs target -8.08 at
TP25. The voltage at L1 is also -10.69 instead of the target of -8.11V. Rest of test points are close to target with 9.36V input. Any suggestions?

Now that is interesting. I believe that the voltage at TP25 and at L1 vary depending on the actual value of L1. If you put your finger on the probe can you pick up AC hum floating around your workbench?

Did you contact Banggood about the fake board?

Have you read through Banggood's forum posting?

Re: davef
Thanks for the suggestions. I went thru most of the trouble shooting guide - even
tested base of Q1 and Q2. Decided to run 3.3V test signal. All is fine. I do not know why I
lost the trace for the last week or so. I haven't made any intentional changes just remove/
replace display board and test probes. I'll enjoy my DSO138 until it stops working again.
