DSO138 Firmware Upgrade

Hello there!

I'm trying to upgrade the firmware using the guide posted in the forum but am not getting very far.

I shorted out J1 & J2 - should the oscilloscope display anything when powered up as all I get is a white screen?

I'm using one of these to try and talk to it:-

Is this suitable?

I get the "No response from the target, the Boot loader can not be started, please verify the boot mode configuration and the flash protection status, Reset your device then try again…” message.

Problem eventually traced to poor solder joint(s) on the UART connections. I made the mistake of haste in assembling the kit - make sure you clean the pcb with a degreaser/contact cleaner first.

The white screen is normal when J1 and J2 are shorted.

Updated firmware to 113-13801-040 and all working okay.

Hope this helps someone else too.

Latest firmware is 113-13801-041 as i just got new DSO138

I can't see that version on Jyetech's firmware page - perhaps it will get updated soon.

My board has software version 113-13801-045. Hope JYETech will update the website with newer versions (I don't now if there is any newer than mine at the moment?).

The newer versions found in new shipments contain changes only for production testing. No functional change was made.
