Hi all i just got my DSO138 was trying to update the firmware using a coms cable i made up with gnd tx and rx going to pins 2 3 & 5 on dtype connector and using a standard usb-rs232 converter and in the flashing software i get an error message saying unrecognised device please reset device and try again i have power cycled it and checked i had it wired right on swoppong the tx and rx i got a message saying unable to connect and i bridged the jumpers jp1 jp2 and got a white lcd screen is this correct i have ordered the jyetech uart isb adapter will try this when it arrives

The jyetech uart usb arrived and still same response have attached some photos of the error im seeing and of the the scope screen too
