LED specs and issues
LED specs and issues
My LED on the kit wasn't lighting up and when trying to fix it it broke. What specs (forward voltage, voltage drop, max current etc) does the LED have? Can I just replace it with a bigger green LED I have in a kit? Will update with my voltages once I get a LED back in there. The LCD screen board is lighting up but not showing anything.

Re: LED specs and issues
Hello,
The LED is a normal LED with a forward voltage of 1.9V and an operating current of 2mA
A larger LED needs more operating power and will overload the MCU.
If the display is not activated, that means something wrong with the + 3.3V. Is this available and do you have connected Jumper J4? Otherwise, the MCU gets no voltage and nothing works.
Best Regards
Rainer
