I am having trouble with my new DSO 112 getting it to trigger properly in the "Single Trigger mode when the timebase is set to a value less than (faster than) 10 usec/div. At 10 usec/div or above it seems to work correctly. At 5 usec/div or below, the scope triggers, but continues to accept triggers (not going into the Hold mode).

Any suggestions?

What you observed was true and normal. When timebase is set to 5us/div or smaller MCU uses highest sampling rate and, as result, can't handle triggers. Please see http://www.jyetech.com/Products/LcdScop ... es_112.php.
