DSO112a wiring a 3.5mm socket

Post by jackpf »

Hi guys,

After a quick bit of advice - I've got a 3.5mm socket (like so: https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/35mm-stereo- ... cket-fk03d) and I'm trying to wire it up to the inputs on the board. I can't find a schematic or figure out which pin to wire the positive & negative though, can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm trying to wire to J6, with the negative going to the centre pin, and the positive going to one of the 4 outer pins, but it doesnt seem to work.

Cheers for any help

The positive pin should go to the center of J6. The outer 4 pins of J6 are ground.

Ah thank you so much, that worked perfectly.

One last question, in order to keep the device on with an external power supply, I've read that I need to short J8, and bypass the switch, but the instructions are for the DSO112 (not DSO112a). Do you know which pins i need to short to disable the power off functionality?

Cheers
