Button Firmware Update

How do I update the button firmware? I tried to flash it like I did the main firmware and the unit would not boot until I reflashed the main firmware again.

The button firmware should be flashed to the chip U8. Please do not flash it to the main MCU (U4). That could lock the chip.

Is there a guide anywhere for flashing the button firmware? I thought I was a version behind but I am actually at 130. It would be nice to have the documentation should an update be released.

The button firmware is flashed via port J5. Detailed instructionsl are programmer dependent.
