What BOBs and Jumpers to solder for USB power and usability

Post by RazRojasB »

I bought a kit and finished soldering all the resistors, capacitors and other miscellaneous parts, then I got to the optional BOBs which confused me a bit. I won't be using/needing a battery. I have a few questions:

1. Does the USB port is meant for the same standard 5V one I charge my phone and many other things with?

2. If I want to connect the scope to my PC via USB, will the USB port also power the scope or do I need to use the 2.1mm DC005 J2 connector just to power it?

3. If I can use the scope with only the USB port, what BOBs and Jumpers do I have to solder?

Thanks in advance for any answers!! :P
