Did you have all jumpers on the back side of analog PCB open? If you did SW4 should turn scope off when battery is used.

Serial output of data is through a Uart port at the right border of the main board (the pins marked TX and RX), not through USB. A Uart-USB converter is required to send the data to PC. You can do checking by 1 ) apply a DC voltage at input and measure V1. V1 should be about 90% of input. Otherwise U1D might be bad. 2 ) Make sure higher gain channel is selected. Check V3. Can you check and post the keypad firmware version? It is displayed at power up with digits like 113-06802-XXX where XXX is the version number.
