I assembled the 112A (firmware .....-211) and have a similar problem : The trace remains at the top of the screen, whatever setting or calibration I try. Pushing Pos Cal. gives clicking of relais as well as Default. Otherwise device seems to be working ok. Can access menus , move cursors for trigger...

Same thing happened to me - crystal defective . Detected by old HAMEG 304 Oscilloscope 30 MHz at TP14 . I suspected damaged by high temperature (small housing soldered to PCB - am using lead-free solder / 320°C setting of iron). Replaced by usual (as per Arduino Uno) 16 MHz crystal with larger housi...
