Re: Part numbers for pushbuttons
Note that I found suitable replacements. Almost. The top of the button isn't quite as big as the one that came with it, so the red button cap tends to fall off. A touch of CA glue fixed that, and I now have a working power button. Yay! Much nicer. I did have to buy 20 of the things, so have a lot to...

Problems with my FG085
Ok, I suspect I may have caused some of these. As noted elsewhere, I managed to screw up the power switch, and then managed to strip the rings off the through holes for the switch installing the replacement. These may or may not have contributed to my problems. Checking the schematics, I added a jum...

Re: sigrok/pulseview support for DSO112A
This has been updated, and current builds now require the test firmware. Build state available at https://github.com/mwm/libsigrok/tree/d ... ch-dso112a.

FG085 programming headers
The two programming headers - J6 & J8 - really ought to be right angle headers so you can plug things into them with the panels on.

Re: sigrok/pulseview support for DSO112A
I've incorporate the vpos & vsen info from jyetech on the other thread (thanks!). It doesn't use the test firmware; that's going to take a bit more work, and possibly some sleep. In trying to get pulseview working, I also made it as easy to install this build on a Mac as it is to install the sta...

Re: 10x probe setup
I'm trying to follow this advice, but I'm a bit stuck. Things look fine at 1X, but 10X is clearly under compensated. Does it need to be adjusted at 10X after adjusting for 1X, should I just adjust it at 10X, or am I missing something?

Re: DSO112A serial interface docs?
And today I found something else I'd like to see: the sample rate. Turns out I need to feed that to the library in order for it to render the results properly. That's in the CSV file, so I can use that for now, but that's not very robust.

A new function generator?
The FG085 was so impressive I bought it instead of rolling my own. Well, I couldn't have done as good a job with the hardware, but think I could have done a lot better job on the software by choosing a more recent µcu. I built a simple one (demo at https://youtu.be/FXWTkszKLiU) based on an STM32F4, ...

Bench power supply kit?
I've been looking at bench power supplies, and their now seems to be a host of low-cost DC-DC options using some kind of microcontroller and LSI voltage regulator. Some of them are just simple knobs and displays, but some are quite fancy. However, none seem to hit the spot they way the JYETech stuff...

Re: DSO112A serial interface docs?
Yes, I can set VPos in the software, but sigrok has no way to let the user specify it during the capture. So I'd just set it to zero, which may mean that when I turn it off the signals goes out of range. Not good. Once I've figured out how VSen affects things, VPos was easy to do, so I did it. A &qu...
