Re: Problems with my FG085

Still looking for some help with this, and back to it soon. Any chance of getting a trouble-shooting guide, or a list of test points and voltages to expect, or any help at all?

Re: Counterfeit 062?

Ok, I've attached images of the component side of both the LCD module and the main board.

Counterfeit 062?

On looking at my 062 kit, the LCD module does not have any signal labels on it, just pin 1 on one side. Could this be a counterfeit?

Re: DSO112A serial interface docs?

I think I've figured out the delay issue, but I'm not sure. Since the DSO is sending a frame, there should be a delay after each frame while it waits for the trigger for the next frame. But that delay is a bit longer than I'd expect. Possibly I just don't understand why it's as long as it is.

Re: DSO112A serial interface docs?

Ok, here's the update. I'm pretty sure there's at least one bug in the DSO112A serial interface code that generates frame ID 0xC0 data type 0x32 (the frame that holds blocks of samples of capture datas). The length in the frame appears to be short by one. The same code that deals correctly with ever...

Re: DSO112A serial interface docs?

Before sending a "Connect" frame to start capturing data, I always send a "Set parameters" frame that updates the values on the scope to whatever the user has set them to in sigrok. If the scope is set to 20ms originally, it works fine. Until I try to change the timebase to 50ms ...

Re: How to tell your board is counterfeit or not?

In that case, you might want to add ebay seller 'bruce-shark' to your list of people known to be selling counterfeits.

Re: DSO112A serial interface docs?

Seems that it doesn't send the ACK/confirmation packets when set to a timebase of 50ms/division or more - meaning it's sending a single value in each frame.

Is this a bug, or have I overlooked something?

Re: DSO112A serial interface docs?

I thought I replied to this, but don't see it. Apologies if this is a duplicate. I've updated the software to take advantage of these changes. It seems much more reliable. I accidentally read the FG085 docs; problems with working on to many things at once. I could swear my DSO112A was shutting off w...
