Re: I am at my wits end..
So far as I know, everyone who has bought their DSO150 kit from Banggood has received a genuine kit. Including me. If I were buying a kit today, I would buy it from Banggood, and nobody else. But of course I can't personally absolutely guarantee it. I would not buy anything from AliExpress because I...

Re: I am at my wits end..
I'm sure jye1 will respond when he sees your post. But I agree that the current situation is not good. I understand their issue with the illegal copies, but as you say, it causes much wasted time by innocent buyers. In another post in the Shell forum group jye1 said that good ones can be bought from...

Re: Li-ion power mod
OK, I understand. And since your all-in-one board outputs 9V, you need that diode anyway.
Well, I'm going to leave mine the way it is, but your way is certainly a good way to go for others considering doing this mod.

Re: Li-ion power mod
Attached is a drawing of what I've done. Just to be sure I understand, could you post a drawing of what you are suggesting?

Re: Li-ion power mod
Why not like this ? In off position you can charger the batterie without power concumption from the batterie. In on postion you can use the 5Volt USB and the 9Volt barrel to feed the shell. Release the USB in off position and there is no power at all to the shell. I'm not clear on this. In the ON p...

Re: Li-ion power mod
I ended up placing the battery so its terminals are pressed against the side of the case. So I drilled a hole there opposite the positive terminal, and can now measure battery voltage at any time. I can measure with my voltmeter, or I can use the scope probe. With that setup, I don't think I need to...

Re: Li-ion power mod
The battery finally arrived, and I was able to complete the lipo mod. As mentioned before, I have the old style boards, and the analog board extends about 6mm further into the lower part of the case than the newer board. So the BH6X battery just wouldn't fit. I ended up using this battery: https://w...

Re: Li-ion power mod
I'd like to see a pic showing where everything is placed.
Also, do you have any noise problems with that boost converter needing further filtering? Anybody else have that problem?

Re: Li-ion power mod
Yes indeed. The P-channel mosfet will normally be fully ON with the gate tied to ground, and with very little voltage drop. But when the power supply is plugged in, the gate goes high, which turns off the mosfet. You still have a diode in the other power path, but I don't think that's a problem.

Re: Li-ion power mod
LupinIII, how does your charger module handle running the scope while charging? Does it ever shut down charging while the scope is on? The one I have never shuts down because the current flow never goes low enough to trigger the shutdown. That could be a problem for the LIPO. The charger module not...
