Re: Li-ion power mod
Those interested in doing the battery mod should consider which analog board they have when ordering a battery. I've ordered the BH6X 1800 mah battery that upsss used, but should have been more careful comparing my scope to his picture. He has the new "E" analog board, but I have the older...

Re: Li-ion power mod
They are still available from several other vendors on Aliexpress, search for "Micro DC-DC Converter". Thanks. I'll look for it. Edit: All the others of that style on Aliexpress are step-down coverters. And I couldn't find anything like it on Ebay. So maybe you got the last one. :-) Can I...

Re: Li-ion power mod
To reduce the drain on the battery in the Off position <20uA, I split the charging/protection circuit from the step up converter so the On/Off switch can turn off the power to it. This step up converter is very tiny and it fits in the original external power jack location which I didn't need anymor...

Re: Issues after v111 update
If the activation code was entered without any complaint that means it was accepted and everything should be fine. The issue of frequency data was caused by a bug which we already knew. The attachment is a version that correct the bug. For the rotary encoder issue is it still happening after you di...

Re: Issues after v111 update
I don't have an explanation, but the encoder seems to be working ok now. I power cycled the scope about 8 times to make sure the authentication code had been entered right, and after that the encoder is now working fine. I had entered the code on the first power up after flashing. But maybe it doesn...

Issues after v111 update
I finally got around to flashing new firmware to my Shell, going from v54 to v111 all at once. Then I did the authentication code, which seemed to go ok (would it have given me an error if it hadn't worked?). The scope worked ok before, and generally everything still seems to work ok, except for the...

Re: Li-ion power mod
I'm confused about how to connect and switch the charger, boost converter and battery. Where does the On/Off switch go? Ideally, you would want to be able to charge the battery without turning on the scope. But you would also want to be able to charge while you are using the scope. So it seems you w...

Re: Li-ion power mod
I reply ones into this topic "LI-Ion power mod", but I think you have open a new topic for the USB-problems. https://www.ebay.nl/itm/CP2102-MICRO-USB-to-UART-TTL-Module-6-Pin-Serial-Converter-STC-Replace-FT232-/381765079624? I'm not sure what you are saying about a new topic, but the modu...

Re: Two channels?
Are there any plans at JYETech for a two-channel version of the Shell? Yes we do have plan for a two-channel model. Hopefully we can get it done by end of this year. That would be great. That might be an opportunity to switch from aligator clip probes to normal scope probes. The incremental cost mi...

Two channels?
Are there any plans at JYETech for a two-channel version of the Shell?
Does anyone know of any other really inexpensive two-channel scope?
