Please let me know if you see any problem with this.

Re: Li-ion power mod

LupinIII, how does your charger module handle running the scope while charging? Does it ever shut down charging while the scope is on? The one I have never shuts down because the current flow never goes low enough to trigger the shutdown. That could be a problem for the LIPO. I guess what I like abo...

Re: Li-ion power mod

I'm still waiting for parts to come in, but I think I've found a good way to preserve the 9V barrel connector in case I ever need to use that, and switch between that and the LIPO stuff. I'm planning to follow Morgan Flint's lead and desolder the power switch, cut the existing traces to separate the...

Re: Li-ion power mod

Yet another warning about bad modules. I bought one of the MT3608 boost modules from Banggood, the kind that has the little multi-turn pot on it to adjust the output voltage. The pot is marked as 100K, which is the right value, but it actually measures as 35K. And that means the maximum output volta...

Re: Li-ion power mod

Looks like that would be a good battery for use with the new analog board, but it won't fit with the old board.

Re: Li-ion power mod

Those interested in doing the battery mod should consider which analog board they have when ordering a battery. I've ordered the BH6X 1800 mah battery that upsss used, but should have been more careful comparing my scope to his picture. He has the new "E" analog board, but I have the olde...

Re: Li-ion power mod

Back on the subject of a low battery indicator, I ran across references to two ICs that specifically perform this function. They are three-pin SOT chips, and all you would need in addition is the LED and resistor. They are sold pre-trimmed at the factory for specific voltages, induding around 3V. Th...

Re: Li-ion power mod

I've seen mentions here that the scope can be operated during charging, but I think doing that for extended periods may not be a good idea. The TP4056 charger is supposed to shut down when the charging current reaches 1/10 of the nominal max charging current as set by the R3 resistor selection. But ...

Re: Button and encoder contact bounce and some suggestions.

Thanks. That's the one. The "12 " is just the part number. It's 15 pulses, 30 detents per revolution.

Re: Button and encoder contact bounce and some suggestions.

I buy two on Ebay, because the ADJ did not work on the second DSO150 to. https://www.ebay.nl/itm/2PCS-Rotary-Encoder-With-Switch-EC12-Audio-Digital-Potentiometer-10mm-Handle-/272924676423? You have to remove into the ADJ-button the ribbing if you buy with 10mm plasticshaft and without a nut ! The p...
