Yes it does look like software but I didn't do anything to the flash, one day it just booted up like this. I'm not sure if I can easily reflash the soc, I don't have an st link or anything, just a uart chip.

I checked all connections of the rotary encoder with the FAQ guide and everything seems to match perfectly.

DSO150 rotary encoder only moves down on certain functions
Hi, I purchased a dso150 kit a while back and it worked fine untill a few days ago. Now it seems the central knob can only turn down, on certain functions. So on voltage and sec/div it can only turn down, so I am constantly on 5mv and 10 us. but on trigger state it reaches SING and won't loop over, ...

Turns out my soldering was bad on one of the male header pins that connects the analog board to the main board, fixed it now.
