Re: Support for 10x (and maybe 100x) probes
This could be done semi-automatically with a software modification, I think. Set or select the probe to the desired attenuation (1 / 10 / 100), hold it to the 1 kHz test output, and tell the scope to calibrate the attenuation (is there any switch combination left for this?), in the way that auto-ran...

Re: Measurement errors with x10 probe on large negative sign
Hi Arnoldus,
for the benefit of others (and especially JYEtech itself) please keep messages in English.
No hurry for testing. If you have problems testing and you live near the center of the Netherlands, I might be able to help.

Re: Measurement errors with x10 probe on large negative sign
Hi Arnoldus, I initially looked at a solid state relay (SSR) too (see initial post, a Panasonic AQV216S). But I had two concerns with that: - What happens to low millivolt signals? - The Panasonic has a 45 pF capacitance between I/O when off. At 200 kHz and worth the high input impedance of the TL08...

Re: Measurement errors with x10 probe on large negative sign
Hi hvorfordetda,
You have found a very clever solution to the problem, my compliments. I will implement it as well.
Many thanks too for the detailed photos and instructions.
Best regards, Mat

Re: Measurement errors with x10 probe on large negative sign
Hello MNTech, thank you for your replies. Indeed, cost is an issue, the low cost is one of the attractions of this very nice little scope (which I wish I had obtained earlier). The reed relay solution looks the cheapest, I'm a little worried about the internal resistance of the 74HC4053: it can be 1...

Re: Measurement errors with x10 probe on large negative sign
I thought of another possible fix. - Use a bistable single coil subminiature relay with DPDT (2 changeover contacts), like the Axicom IM43GR. A bistable relay only uses power when switching, so this avoids increased power consumption (around 15 mA extra). - Control this by a PIC12F1501, this 8 pin c...

Measurement errors with x10 probe on large negative signals
Hi, The input impedance of the DSO150 becomes lower if the voltage at the BNC connector is lower than -5V. This is because the TL084 for the sensitive channel is outside its spec. For a low-impedance source, this is not a problem: see the image with a 70 Vpp from a low-impedance source. This image l...

Re: On power up, test signal is on and gives noise
If have looked into the noise sources a little further. I measured with a unused BNC connector on the input, to screen it somewhat. Causes of noise on my device, boards rev E and software version 62, iIn order of severity (the worst first): 1. Test signal is on at high level on power up. Use 1 ms/di...

Measurement issues
I´ve had the DSO150 for a some days now, and am very impressed with it. Unbelievable what they pack in this small package. I´ve posted some issues in other topic, but those should not be takes as criticism, but as suggestions of possible improvements. I´m very happy with it already. I have boards re...

On power up, test signal is on and gives noise
I´m using boards rev E and software version 062. I noticed noise on the input after switch on. It turns out the test signal is on at 3.3 level. If you press ADJ for 3 seconds, you can change it to 0.1 V. I presume that if you press ADJ a second time for 3 seconds, the test signal is gone completely....
