Re: DSO150 versus inverter 12v 220v
Did you apply a load to the inverter while making the measurement? The inverter may require a minimum load for the waveform to clean up.

Firmware Version 054?
Can you repost a link to firmware version 054?
I never got a chance to download it before the site got hacked, and I would like to have it to fall back on before I try version 055.
Thanks

Re: Website and forums "hacked"....
It looks like the JYE Tech website is back, but may have been restored from a previous version? I'm looking for the link to the DSO Shell 055 firmware update and its no longer on the DSO Shell page. Also the link to the 054 firmware found in the forum thread "New firmware, New Problems" no...

Re: New firmware, new problems.
I think I will hold off on the update until v054 is available on the Firmware page as a backup.

Re: Beginner -should I get a DSO shell?
One that is rated for 110 to 220 VAC, 50/60 Hz, will be a switching type power supply and have a regulated output. A simple non-regulating type will not be able to have that wide of a voltage input and still be able to claim to put out 9V. Other than that just purchase one that has a lot of positive...

Re: Beginner -should I get a DSO shell?
The ICL7660 negative voltage converter device on the analog board has an absolute maximum voltage limit of 10.5V and a spec'd limit of 10V. I kind of wish they had used the LT1054, which is a better part, works up to 15V, runs at a higher frequency (25KHz), and with a couple resistors added can prov...

Its best if you get a good, well-regulated power supply.

Re: Beginner -should I get a DSO shell?
I'm just another user that happens to own both the DSO 138 and DSO shell. I have not attempted to retrofit either unit with a rechargeable battery, so I don't know easily a battery can be fit into the cases. Did anybody on the Banggood user reviews provide a picture?

Re: Wrong voltage measurements, bad DC offset
The operating instructions are not real clear on this. You need to do a calibration. With the input switch set to GND, press and hold the V/DIV button for several seconds. You should see the trace center itself at the V/DIV marker on the left side of the display. Once this is done, release the butto...

Re: Possible to purchase replacement outer shell?
I had the same problem with the screws being too tight. I didn't split the plastic, I ended up stripping one of the screw heads, then messed the case up trying to drill it out. Banggood sells the cases, but it sounds like JYE Tech may be helping you out with a replacement. When I got the new one I r...
