Re: Firmware source bug report thread

In this case, judging by the code it's standard 2 channel encoder with 4 positions rotating 00->01->11->10->00... It doesn't send pulses it shorts A and/or B with common. It's usually hooked up with a pullup to get high when there is no continuity. Same approach is used in dso shell, those pins are ...

Re: Firmware source bug report thread

Fast adjustment feature is great! Not sure though why we can't have both that and fix for skipping. You've attached the firmware binary, not the code. I'll wait until code is updated on github, but fixing encoder skip issue should be pretty straightforward. I still haven't had a chance to test this ...

Re: Li-ion power mod

Anyway, this also should happen in many USB power banks and, according to the ebay ad, it's only 0.2 mA, so 5000 hours on a 1000 mAh battery. Power banks only have to output 5v fixed. They usually use specialized ICs with very low quiescent current that don't engage the switching mosfet unnecessari...

Re: Is it possible to implement S-Video or VGA output on the

Does anyone know which part of the code is responsible for sending the data to the 2.4" screen so that we can change the data? Currently this is done in libdso (not open source) which is described here https://github.com/JYEtech/DSO-Shell-open-source-version-/blob/master/DN150-06v01_HowToUseDS...

Firmware source bug report thread

So I finally got some time to look deeper into the firmware source. I already found the issue with the encoder and why it's skipping detents. This table is not right: https://github.com/JYEtech/DSO-Shell-open-source-version-/blob/29f25edd2fabd8a8218309cee7229587cefcc914/Command.c#L63 There should be...

Re: Li-ion power mod

Awesome ideas, thanks for posting! I like the encoder mod, putting the battery inside the scope crossed my mind but I didn't explore possibilities to increase the space available inside. Be careful with choosing the boost converter though. Like I mentioned the switching frequency matters. Eevblog fo...

This is great, thanks!
I just tried to build it with upstream gcc on linux (actually windows 10 lss, which is pretty good) and with minor fixes it works like a charm. Just sent you a pull request if you want to merge it.

Re: Scope switches to GND when touching the case -> J3

The testsignal is not constant it moves right or left . Anyone any ideas what might have caused this?
Adjust your trigger point (pink marker on the right of the screen). You can autocenter it on the signal average by long pressing the trigger button (or sec/div button, can't remember which).

It's a dice roll, I imagine. Mine (exactly like pictured) works, others linked above modules that didn't.
