Re: Measuring directly 230 volts with the x10 probe.
Just another point to consider - look at the probe supplied with the scope, it can be used up to 600V. So now, how one can tell us not to measure live power directly? Surely when you do it, be careful not to touch exposed wires with your hands. If you do, you'll get an electric shock, but do not bla...

Real analogue bandwidth of DSO068
Hello everybody! I finally tested my DSO068 analogue bandwidth and ... I am disappointed. It has 5MHz analogue bandwidth claimed, according to the specification, but look at the picture, it shows what I got on the display when I fed the scope with 235kHz sine-wave signal. I thought the distortion oc...

Re: FREQ. METERING DSO 068
Just in case somebody wants to know the range of FC. My DSO068 measures frequency with accuracy 1Hz up to 8,2MHz. Above that the readings are inaccurate. There is TL082 opamp in the input circuit. It can has a bandwidth up to 3MHz, maybe replacing it with LM6172 (bandwidth up to 100MHz) can increase...

Re: Adjustment of Compensation capacitors.
I have successfully solved this problem by replacing C7 with 100pF after this was done adjusting C8 trimmer changed the waveform of the test signal. I also replaced C5 trimmer with 22pF cap and got a good square waveform of the test signal. Maybe it helps somebody.

Re: Cannot perform firmware update to 113-06801-061
I tried to upgrade the main firmware to version 113-06801-061 following the instructions provided in the manual. Below is the log file. I connected the scope to my PC using USB cable. Launched the AVRUBD.exe, congigured COM port to 9600,8,N,1,N, checked it with the actual port settings. Clicked on D...

Re: Battery indicator
Hi, jye1, I am just curious about the battery indicator. Do you plan to use it in the future firmware releases? Is there any space left on main ATmega for this? While it's nice to have feature, it would be great and handy to have such indicator working since the display already includes it.

Re: Measuring directly 230 volts with the x10 probe.
And for those with trembling hands and over-sensitive bodies I recommend to purchase a probe with 1:100 divider just for some 12 EUR on Aliexpress. In this case you deal with 2,3V voltage which definitely not a high voltage at all.

Re: Do not attempt to measure live power directly.
jye1 , thanks for your precautions, but you are like all the others from the world of capitalism ... obsessed by safety. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaaXpedYoqI start watching at 20:10 and you will see, it works fine. As I already mentioned, behind x10 probe there are only 22V that reach the in...

Re: Measuring directly 230 volts with the x10 probe.
What a nonsense!!! 220v:10=22V so now, is anybody scared of 22V? I guess nobody, not even a "cheap" scope, but the author of the previous post. 220V is NOT a high voltage, stop fooling people. However, make sure your probe is set to x10 before measure the main voltage. I would say, interna...
